Implemented a composting and recycling program: The Casanova had 4-32 gal. black bins and 2-32 gal. blue bins every Monday & Friday through October of 2008. They switched to 1-32 gal. black, 2-32 gal. blue, and 3-32 gal. green bins, Monday and Friday. They have reduced their contribution to landfill by 192 gallons/week, or nearly 10,000 gallons per year, and they save $200 per month (a 58% reduction) in their garbage service charge from Sunset Scavenger ($341.86 down to $143.17)
Do not use garbage or compostable bags - just dump into the bin saving money and waste
Do not sell bottled water anymore - installed filter for water instead
Changed out all possible lights to LED
Use Green Earth Office Supply for compostable straws.
Have low flow toilets
What has Casanova done to go green?
